Cheerful Architecture -The Real Sustainer, a lecture by Sir Peter Cook

Sto Werkstatt

In this lecture given at Sto Werkstatt in November 2015, Sir Peter Cook takes us on a journey that revels in the nuances of playful colour applications and experimental spatial operations in architecture that still strike a balance with energy effectiveness.

Through the lens of current British architecture and his own award-winning projects with CRAB Studio including the Music Houses of Taipei and Vienna University of Economics and Business, Cook explores the attributes of “good” buildings which in combination can offer a truly sustainable prospect: cheerful, joyous architecture!

This event was been organised on the occasion of the exhibition HANDS ON, an installation at Sto Werkstatt designed by J. MAYER. , that draws projects from the ECOLA Award Archives, an international architecture competition that focuses on the render and plaster as building materials.
